Dreamhaven Ranch is a faith-based organization and a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Although the ranch is not associated with any particular denomination, the basis of our belief rises from the same Judeo-Christian values that our nation was built upon. We believe in a Sovereign God and the saving grace of his Son, Jesus Christ. It is our greatest desire to serve God by the demonstration of our faith through action. Faith on the ranch is demonstrated through “living example” to those we work with. It is our highest honor to serve children and families of all backgrounds with the same loving grace that has been given to us.
Susan and Terry Thayer purchased their dream property in 2010 after working and living in Boise, Idaho for nine years. Seeking a rural lifestyle reminiscent of their childhoods, they wanted a chance to share their love and compassion for animals and people. Dreamhaven Ranch is a place where children and their families can experience relief from a frenzied world and experience hope, peace and the love of God through horses and nature.
Nestled in the foothills near Eagle, Idaho, Dreamhaven Ranch is six acres of rural landscape at its best. The ranch house and barns are sheltered by towering pines and the irrigated horse pastures and sandy paddocks are surrounded by rustic post and pole fencing. A large, lighted arena sits next to ten wooded acres and a covered spectator area keeps visitors shaded while watching equine activities. Chickens and playful dogs meander in the soft grass of the expansive yard near the bountiful vegetable garden, outdoor fire pit and soothing water fountain.
There is something healing and peaceful about this place. It is refreshing, relaxing, revitalizing.
